Reviews
If I could give more stars for atmosphere I would… this is a very comfortable space and it accommodates a lot of tables without feeling crowded. There are multiple dining rooms and the one we were in was magnificent. We loved the floor to ceiling shelves that were used to store the wine and the stone walls. The service was good and we appreciated the relaxed pace. We started with the lobster ravioli and baby shrimp appetizer and split the arugula salad. The salad was very fresh and the portion is more appropriate for 1 person. They also have delicious bread and butter. For wine, we were recommended the Romeo by the owner and it was perfect! For my entree I got the VITELLO DELLA NONNA and it was one of the best meals of my life! They were out of a few dessert options but we were pleased with the cappuccino gelato that we split! We can’t wait to go back. This is a great place to celebrate special moments or to impress guests.
We came here for our anniversary dinner, and I must say every entrée we ordered was fabulous!!! The pasta was fresh and everything was so well seasoned. Especially the shrimp and lobster ravioli was a 10/10 if you’re going to order one thing let it be this dish. The outside of the restaurant makes it seem like it’s closed but once inside the vibes are immaculate and I loved the ambiance, mood lighting and decor. Not pictured is the Tiramisu slice which was a disappointment, for $12 the portion size is tiny and it is not an authentic tiramisu, felt like something you would get at a grocery store.
Northern Italian restaurant with delicious food, a wonderful atmosphere and exceptional service! Perfectly timed delivery of our wine, appetizers and main courses, plus dessert and espresso! We recommend doing it all. The appetizer we loved was “RAVIOLI ALL’ARAGOSTA”. My meal was “VITELLO BOSCAIOLA” and I highly recommend. We will be back!
This is the best Italian in the area. Housemade pasta, and simple and incredibly delicious options.
They are strictly reservations only so that means you will need to either plan ahead or be prepared to keep checking until something is available.
Worth every since penny!
Absolutely fabulous meal on Saturday night. The food was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful explaining the dishes. Appetizer of the day (mini ravioli) was outstanding
The atmosphere was wonderful. Our first time at San Marcos but definitely not our last.
Excellent, EXCELLENT food. Our server, however, must not have realized that we could hear her when she was swearing about and trash talking our table, as we were just around the corner from the register and kitchen. She was nice enough and attentive while in front of us and I know she’s not the only server to swear about a table when not within earshot, but it kind of left a sour taste. The manager or owner came by to check on us which was great and again, the food was really delicious! Would go back.
What a jewel of a restaurant! Friendly staff, quick professional service, quiet setting. Most importantly, the food is consistently delicious! The pepper filled ravioli is the best appetizer that I've ever had. We love San Marco!

We went on a Sunday night at 7pm and made a reservation the day before. You definitely have to reserve as it’s always packed. We were seated pretty quickly. Our server was attentive and even made our food spicier to accommodate my south asian mother haha. The owner himself even cleared away our plates. Amazing incredible service! They are so humble and welcoming.

Risotto del giorno (mushroom truffle) $16
5/5*
The most delicious, creamy, umami, salty risotto I’ve ever had. Best hands down. I’ve tried this dish several times in different places, San Marco does it best. I’d drive 2 hrs from Toronto again just for this dish!
Capesante al vesuvio $19
5/5*
Scallops with lemon herb butter sauce and pesto risotto. The risotto was divine and I was told the scallops were perfectly cooked and very flavourful.
Penne all’arrabbiata $25
4.5/5*
Very spicy and flavourful sauce. Perfectly cooked pasta. A little too spicy so def avoid if you can’t handle spice, we’re south asian and it was quite spicy even for us.
Fusilli alla luciana $25
4/5*
Very creamy sauce with some sundried tomatoes and perfectly cooked fusilli pasta. -1 because it was a bit too one note and too rich for me, description said tomato cream sauce so I expected more tomato. Still delicious pasta but I’d opt for a lighter option next time.
Chocolate lava cake with hazelnut ice cream $12
4/5*
Hazelnut ice cream was delicious, not too sweet, creamy. Molten cake was okay - I wasn’t a fan of the cake itself but the molten chocolate was good and not overly sweet.

5/5*
Crowded but not too loud because tables are divided between 2 or 3 rooms I believe.
Business casual to formal attire. The prices are decently affordable but feels like fine dining.
Overall: 5/5*
Recommend to others?: DEFINITELY, come here, even make the trip from Toronto. Best Italian I’ve ever had so far!
